- Microsoft Defender Preview app screenshots showed up online.
- The screenshots reveal a first look at the interface and features.
- The app will offer antivirus, password monitor, and many other features.
Ahead of the official release, someone (@AhmedWalid605) found a way to get full access to the new Microsoft Defender app, giving us a closer look at the design and features expected to arrive with the new security experience.
Microsoft Defender is a new app designed to be a central dashboard to monitor the security of all your devices, including Windows 11, 10, macOS, iOS, And Android.
It’ll offer a lot of security protection features similar to many paid antivirus solutions, including anti-malware and phishing protection, as well as password monitor and identity theft, among other features.
In the screenshots, we can get an early look at how the app is planned to work. For example, you will be able to add and view the security information for your devices, and it’ll show alerts for things that need your attention.
The images also show two other features coming soon, including Connections and Identity, which is the feature to monitor identity theft.
It’s unclear when the app will be available for preview, and there are still many unanswered questions regarding features, whether it will be available for free or be offered through a subscription plan of it will be part of the Microsoft 365 offering.
