Microsoft has announced a new budget headset for Xbox users. This is a wired headset without wireless capability, but at $59.99, it’s the most affordable Xbox-branded headset, compared to the $100 for the wireless variant.

The Xbox stereo headset follows the same design as the wireless model with a dial cup in the right ear to adjust the volume, a mute button, and a flexible microphone. Unlike the wireless model, the wired headset does not include a dedicated chat audio mixing dial.

Since the headset connects to the gaming controller using a 3.5mm plug, you are not limited to use it with the Xbox controller. You can also use it with other controllers or devices.

As for audio features, the Xbox stereo headset supports spatial sound, such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Windows Sonic.

The headset will be priced at $59.99. It is expected to be available on September 21, and you can pre-order it now from the Microsoft Store.
