Windows 10 21H2 upcoming new changes unveiled

Although Microsoft plans to release Windows 11 as the next version of the desktop operating system, Windows 10 will continue to be available until 2025, and version 21H2 is in the works to roll out this holiday season for business devices and those computers that do not meet the minimum requirements to install Windows 11.

The company has not officially announced the next feature update of Windows 10, but a report from Windows Latest confirms some of the new changes and features expected to roll out with version 21H2 as they appeared in different documentation pages.

For example, the update will roll out as a minor cumulative update like version 21H1 and 20H2. The update will bring additional improvements to Windows Hello for Business to allow the use of external supported cameras when the laptop already equipped with a built-in Windows Hello camera is docked or closed.

Windows 10 21H2 will allow users without administrator privileges to configure the display language and other languages. Also, for Windows Autopilot, the update will add support for TPM attestation for Intel 11th Gen processors.

The next feature update is not expected to be significant, but there is still time to see more features and changes when new Insider builds eventually begin rolling out.

Both Windows 10 21H2 and Windows 11 are expected to release sometime during the holiday season. The release date is not official, but Microsoft has been teasing October 20, 2021, as the potential target to begin the rollout of both operating systems.
